2021 Indonesian Economic Student Forum Congress

The 2021 FMEI (Indonesian Economics Student Forum) was held online using Zoom and Semarang State University as the host. This congress brought together delegates from the Faculty of Economics Student Executive Board (BEM) consisting of member universities that have joined FMEI. Namely, there are the University of Indonesia, Gajah Mada University, Bogor Agricultural University, Padjajaran University, Sebelas Maret University, Brawijaya University, Yogyakarta State University, Sriwijaya University, North Sumatra University, General Soedirman University, Diponegoro University, Mulyawarman University, Telkom University, Universitas Airlangga, and SW Christian University, and with 3 prospective universities that will become official members of FMEI this year. The following are delegates from BEM FEB Universitas Airlangga, from the chairman forum with Thariq Priatmojo, then from the castrate forum with Ali Assegaf, Suci Nur Mahfudah, Ilham Altifari Habibi K and Aldisha Dwista Safiya. Then from the external forum with Shavinas Mayada, Brigita Dewi Paramita, Raihan Nurmahdi, Andrean Dicky Octafilianus and Aristyawidyani CS.

 

This year's congress, held on June 12-19, 2021, carried the overarching theme "Restarting the Economy Through the Tourism Sector." This year's congress opened with an oration competition held by UNNES, the host, with the aim of branding FMEI and increasing its recognition among universities across Indonesia. With this oration competition, each university was required to send one representative to participate.

       

 

The first day of FMEI activities is a small forum, where the forum will be divided into three, namely the castrate forum, external forum, and the chairman's forum. The results of the discussions in this small forum will be brought to the Grand Meeting which will lead to and determine the Follow-up Realization. Then on the second day it opens with a large meeting, at the large meeting discussing the results of the small forum for overall approval, then continued with the reading of the results of the large meeting. After the reading of the results, the Follow-up Realization (RTL) will be held. The forum will close at 21.00 with the final meeting and presentation of studies from three candidate universities that will become official members of FMEI (UPN Jogja, Tanjangpura University and Andalas University)

 

The hope of this congress is to demonstrate the enthusiasm of young people, capable of critical thinking and providing solutions to problems in Indonesia, particularly in the economic sector. It also aims to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and advancing each other's campuses with a positive image.
