Intellectual Chat: Casual Discussion Directly with the Experts

Friday, July 24, 2020, the Department of Strategic Studies and Action (KASTRAT) of BEM FEB UNAIR held an Intellectual Casual Discussion (BSI) activity with the theme "Indonesian Economic Recovery: New Normal for Employment". This activity was a semi-webinar concept followed by a discussion session between speakers and participants. The speakers in this BSI activity consisted of Mr. Sunarya as Head of the Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities Division of the Manpower and Transmigration Office of East Java Province who discussed from the perspective of policy-making practitioners, Mr. Rumayya as a Lecturer at FEB Unair who discussed the topic from an academic perspective, and Mr. Jhon Hardy as a Consultant and Business Practitioner who discussed from the perspective of practitioners as business executors in the New Normal era. 

Mr. Sunarya is presenting material related to the discussion topic. 

The BSI event was held via Zoom, accessible to participants. It was attended by 100 participants, consisting of students from various regions in Indonesia. The event was moderated by Zukhruf Febrianto, who also serves as the Chairperson of the BSI event. The presence of three speakers from different backgrounds resulted in diverse presentations, creating a lively discussion atmosphere for both speakers and participants. The presentations and discussion between the speakers and participants lasted from 7:00 PM WIB to 9:15 PM WIB. This event is expected to provide new insights for fellow students to understand the employment conditions in the New Normal era after the COVID-19 pandemic.
