This year's AST adopted the theme "Lumiere," which refers to the sparkling atmosphere of the city at night. Three sub-activities were presented: the Economic Band Festival (EBF), Eco-Tunes, and Creative. EBF is an internal faculty band competition to foster student talent and interest in music, while Eco-Tunes is for Solo and Duet Vocal. It also accommodates creativity in photography and videography.
Students were very enthusiastic in participating in this competition, more than five bands and 12 vocal groups enlivened the Soepoyo Hall stage on May 16, 2018. Despite approaching the fasting month, many students took the time to vote and support the participants. Each visitor could vote for their favorite band based on their performance.
The event was beautifully decorated with tumblr lights and a display . After the judging process, several winners were awarded: District 4 won first place, J-Five won second place for the Economic Band Festival, Michael and Keke won first place, and Efritha Belliana won second place.
Hopefully, in the future, AST will grow bigger, not only within the faculty.
