ABDI'S ROOM

Ruang Abdi (Abdi Space) is a routine event organized by the Community Service Department of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Airlangga University. This activity aims to commemorate humanitarian and environmental issues and plays a crucial role in supporting the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ruang Abdi Vol. I was successfully implemented, highlighting the theme of commemorating Down Syndrome Day on March 21, 2023, in collaboration with the Down Syndrome School "QIS." The Down Syndrome Day commemoration explored the concept of social inclusion, reflecting the spirit of SDGs number 10, which emphasizes the importance of reducing inequality. Through close interaction and collaboration with individuals with Down Syndrome, the BEM FEB UNAIR Community Service strengthens an inclusive community that promotes justice and equality.

Ruang Abdi Vol II raised the theme of World Environment Day on June 5, 2023. This event consisted of a series of Beach Clean Up activities and socialization regarding plastic waste from related communities. The BEM FEB UNAIR Community Service held a "beach clean up" activity not only taking a role in maintaining beach cleanliness, but also actively supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG number 14 which emphasizes the protection and management of marine and coastal ecosystems. Through efforts to clean beaches from plastic waste and other waste, students contribute to sustainable environmental conservation, which is very relevant in the current global context.

Thus, Ruang Abdi not only reflects the spirit of humanity, but also represents a concrete step towards achieving the various SDGs that aim to create a more just, sustainable, and inclusive world for all.
