The Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University Team Received the Opportunity to Present at the 39th Eurasian Business and Economics Society (EBES) International Conference 2022 in Rome, Italy
The 39th EBES International Conference – Rome, Italy, is an international conference initiated by Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, one of the leading universities in Rome, Italy. The goal of this event is to bring together leading researchers from around the world. Conference participants will find opportunities to present their latest research, exchange information, and discuss current issues. The conference is held as a hybrid event, allowing participants to present via Zoom and attend in person at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
On this occasion, a representative team from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) was selected as one of the participants at the 39th EBES International Conference in Rome, Italy 2022, to present live via Zoom. The team went through various stages before receiving an invitation to give an oral presentation from the organizers. The initial stage involved submitting an extended abstract in mid-March 2022 and completing the financial administration process as a prerequisite for participation.
The 39th EBES International Conference in Rome, Italy, examined current issues related to economics, finance, business, management, and other current issues, particularly focusing on the European and Asian continents. However, the conference also addressed various current topics related to social issues, human resources, monetary issues, poverty, and environmental issues, which pose major dilemmas for countries around the world. The conference also examined global economic developments and the shifts occurring within these economic movements.
The representative team from the Department of Economics, FEB UNAIR consists of 2 lecturers and 1 active student from this department. The members of this team are Dyah Wulan Sari Dra., EC., M.Ec., Dev., Ph.D; Dr. Unggul Heriqbaldi, SE.,M.Si.,M.App.Ec and Ranti Darwin. The team represented by Ranti Darwin had the opportunity to make a live presentation through the Zoom platform provided by the organizers of the 39th EBES International Conference, at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
The 39th EBES International Conference in Rome, Italy, covered topics such as International Trade, Economics of Innovation & SMEs, Economics, Inequality, Entrepreneurship & SMEs, Labor Economics, Growth and Development, Banking & Finance, Regional Studies, and Growth & Development. The team from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) addressed the issue of The Determinants of Poverty Rate in Developing Countries.
The first agenda of this conference began with an opening speech by Mehmet Huseyin Bilgin (EBES & GLO & Istanbul Medeniyet University Turkey), Fabrizio D'Ascenzo (Faculty of Economics of Sapienza University of Rome, Italy) and Klaus F. Zimmermann (EBES & GLO & UNU-MERIT & Free University Berlin, Germany). The presentation of material by Keynote Speech with the theme "Big Pharma and Monopoly Capitalism: Along-Term View" delivered by Giovanni Dosi (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Italy) with moderator Marco Vivarelli (Catholic University of Milano Italy). Next, this conference was followed by a series of paper presentations by conference participants from various parts of the world.
It is hoped that the paper presented by the team from the Department of Economics, FEB UNAIR, will contribute to the development of science, particularly in the field of economics. The presented paper will also be submitted for publication in an international journal published by the organizers.
