Open Chapter Writing Together is a work program of the Scientific Division of the Islamic Economics Masters Student Association (HIMA MSEI) Universitas Airlangga. The purpose of the "Open Chapter Writing Together" activity is to broaden understanding of current Islamic management and business practices. In addition, another objective of this activity is to encourage broader discussions on Islamic Management and Business, by considering various different views and perspectives. Through systematic explanations and accompanied by examples of recent company case studies, it is hoped that this activity can strengthen the position of Islamic management and business as relevant and important disciplines in book form. This activity is open to students of the Islamic Economics Masters Program Universitas Airlangga and the general public.

In addition, the expected practical benefits of this MSEI Writing Together include providing an overview of the application of Management and Business in Islam, as reading material and textbooks, and as a reference for the wider community. This activity also supports the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by encouraging discussions on sustainable business management systems, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality) by reducing economic disparities in society. Thus, this activity is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of Islamic Management and Business knowledge and practices, as well as supporting the achievement of relevant sustainable development goals. Thus, Islamic management and business have strong relevance to the SDGs, particularly in creating inclusive economic growth and reducing inequality, making it an important tool in achieving sustainable development goals globally.
