The MSEI Research Series is an initiative of the Master of Science in Islamic Economics Student Association, especially the Scientific Division Universitas Airlangga . This activity aims to create a platform for Islamic economics students to become agents of significant change in spreading Islamic economic knowledge and enriching academic discourse and global economic practice. This event consists of five meetings which have been designed in a curriculum tailored to students' needs in preparing research. These meetings are held regularly and present competent resource persons. Apart from that, the output of this activity is expected to produce scientific articles that are ready to be published.
This activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially point 4 which emphasizes the importance of quality education and point 8 which highlights decent work and inclusive economic growth. Point 4 of the SDGs emphasizes the importance of universal access to equitable quality education, including higher education, which is the basis for developing quality human resources and has the potential to advance society. Meanwhile, point 8 highlights the importance of decent work and inclusive economic growth to create opportunities for everyone without exception. By disseminating useful knowledge, it is hoped that participants will be able to increase opportunities to optimize research and publication activities that support academic and career development in the future.
Thus, through this activity, students will act as agents of change who promote quality education and inclusive economic growth in accordance with the SDGs. Students will also contribute to the scientific progress of Islamic Economics by producing research and publications that are relevant and of high quality.
