Personal Branding FebPersonal Branding and Career Mentoring (PBCM) is one of the work programs of the PSDM Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association (HIMA EKIS) Universitas Airlangga for 2025. The PBCM program this year is an event with the theme "Preparation for Stepping Into The Professional World"
This work program aims to become a forum for students who want to prepare, build, and prepare their career plans. This year, PBCM will be held with 2 agendas namely the seminar on the first day and continued with mentoring on the second and third days. On this first agenda, a seminar and talkshow will discuss the strategies and effective steps that must be prepared in the world of work which is carried out offline on the first day. Whereas on the second agenda, mentoring will be carried out by raising the topic of developing soft skills and hard skills on the second and third day which will be carried out offline as well.
The first agenda, the seminar and talkshow will be held on May 19, 2025 which is on the Hall of Soepoyo, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . In this activity, students will be given a presentation of material which will later be delivered by 2 external and internal speakers. These speakers will explain and discuss the strategies and effective steps that must be prepared in the world of work.
Furthermore, on the second agenda, mentoring on the first day will be held on May 21, 2025 in the Mindrowo Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . In this mentoring activity, all participants will be equipped with material in the form of the development of soft skills, especially in terms of attitudes, communication, and interpersonal abilities. The material is designed to help new students build self-confidence, recognize their potential, and be able to work together effectively with colleagues. With an interactive and collaborative approach, this mentoring not only focuses on the delivery of theory, but also in direct practice through discussion, simulation, and self -reflection.

Furthermore, on the last agenda a second mentoring session will be held on May 22, 2025 in the Mindrowo Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This activity will be focused on the development of hard skills, especially through training in making curriculum vitae (CV), which is one of the important requirements in the process of applying for a job.
In this session, students will get guidance on how to arrange an interesting and professional CV, so that it can be an added value in the HRD eyes. In addition, they will also be guided in preparing LinkedIn profiles systematically and effectively. Both of these are an important element that can increase the credibility and competitiveness of students as prospective applicants in the world of work.
This activity was made specifically for all active students of S1 Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . With the holding of this activity, it is expected to provide great benefits for students. Especially for students who want to prepare career plans. This event supports SDGs number (4), namely quality education. This activity underlines the importance of the quality of education that must be inclusive, relevant, and provide the skills needed for productive life.
