The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga is an academic community that serves as a center for the development of science and business in Eastern Indonesia, particularly East Java. As time goes by, a wealth of knowledge and economic issues, such as sharia economics and business, have become topics of discussion among economists and businesspeople in Indonesia. Economics students are a national asset, touted as "agents of change," and are expected to lead society toward a better economic life. They are expected to channel their concern for the nation's economic development, not simply dwelling on lectures and ignoring real-world economic conditions. Economics needs to become a focus of attention and research for students, who are the younger generation, to provide new insights for the nation's economic development, as the nation's economy remains a tangled mess that requires extensive study and research.
Mudharabah investment is one of the funding programs within the entrepreneurship division. We use the mudharabah contract for each of our funding projects. We act solely as a liaison between the mudharib (business owner) and the shahibul maal (fund owner). We opened an investment booth from February 19th to March 3rd, 2018, at the corner of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) building Universitas Airlangga from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We offered a purchase price of Rp 50,000 for each security. The funds we collected totaled around Rp 12,000,000, which we will distribute to approximately five mudharibs, who are active Islamic economics students and whose existing businesses are already running and whose sustainability has been surveyed.

To ensure transparency, we created a group with the owners of the capital to provide monthly transparency reports, and we hope the funds managed by the mudharibs will grow. The distribution is 45% for the owners of the capital and 55% for the mudharibs. The proceeds will be returned along with the ratio (ratio) around October, at the end of the management period. This work program has attracted a significant number of mudharibs and owners of the capital, leading us to extend the investment collection period. However, because we only select businesses that are already operating stably, we cannot accept many mudharibs for funding.
