The development of the world of sports among Universitas Airlangga students in general has experienced quite satisfactory improvements. Young potential and talent have begun to emerge along with the development of the world of sports, this cannot be separated from the participation of several parties who provide support and space for students to actualize their creativity and sportsmanship in a tournament. Apart from that, euphoria in tournaments or competitions can also raise the enthusiasm of young people, especially in the world of sports, so that it can become a means for students to enliven themselves by participating and supporting the teams that are competing.
Thus, to realize this we assume that the potential that has been possessed requires space for students to be able to channel their talents. So there is a need for real activities and can arouse enthusiasm and cooperation actively, productively and educatively to realize a sense of togetherness. With the existence of an internal ekis cup can be a forum for Islamic economics students who are expected to be able to arouse the spirit of youth in developing their talents in the field of sports. Therefore, we intend to hold a competition offline and online competition. The competition held in the sports category is futsal, basketball, badminton, and table tennis, as well as then the e-sports category, namely mobile legends, fifa, and valorant between students majoring in Islamic economics on November 4-November 19, 2023.
This event is related to point 3 of the SDGs, namely a healthy and prosperous life because this event is based on various sports competitions as a forum for channeling hobbies that can make the body healthy. Apart from that, this event is also related to point 4 of the SDGs, namely quality education because this event can be a forum for developing human resources in organizing an event and as an opportunity to improve non-academic skills.
This year the EKIS Cup Internal 2023 raised the theme "Escalation of Expectation". The selection of themes is motivated by increasingly sophisticated times. This phenomenon gives us expectations or hopes for the development of the world of sports gradually can increase from time to time. With the holding of a sports competition among young people, we hope to become an agent of change in the Indonesian golden generation.
