The development of sports among Universitas Airlangga students has generally seen quite satisfactory progress. Potential young talents have begun to emerge alongside the development of the sporting world. This is inseparable from the role of several parties who provide support and space for students to actualize their creativity and sportsmanship in tournaments. Furthermore, the euphoria of tournaments or competitions can also inspire youth enthusiasm, especially in the world of sports, thus providing a means for students to enliven the atmosphere by participating and supporting competing teams.

Therefore, to realize this, we believe that the potential that students possess requires a space for them to express their talents. Therefore, there needs to be concrete activities that can inspire enthusiasm and active, productive, and educational collaboration to foster a sense of togetherness. The Internal Ekis Cup can serve as a platform for Islamic Economics students, hopefully inspiring the fighting spirit of young people in developing their talents in sports. Therefore, we intend to hold offline and online competitions. The competitions will be held in the sports categories of futsal, basketball, badminton, and table tennis, as well as in the e-sports category of Mobile Legends, FIFA, and Valorant among Islamic Economics students from November 4 to 19, 2023. This is expected to foster a competitive spirit, foster creativity and sportsmanship, and further strengthen relationships between classes within the Islamic Economics department.

This event aligns with SDG 3, a healthy and prosperous life, as it's based on diverse sports competitions, offering a platform for pursuing healthy hobbies. Furthermore, it also aligns with SDG 4, quality education, as it serves as a platform for human resource development in event management and serves as a platform for enhancing non-academic skills.

This year's Ekis Cup Internal 2023 carries the theme "Escalation of Expectation." The theme was chosen based on the increasingly sophisticated developments of the modern era. This phenomenon gives us hope that the world of sports will gradually develop and improve over time. By holding a youth sports competition, we hope to become agents of change for Indonesia's golden generation.
