The development of sports among Universitas Airlangga students has generally seen quite satisfactory progress. Potential young talents have begun to emerge alongside the development of the sporting world. This is inseparable from the role of several parties who provide support and space for students to actualize their creativity and sportsmanship in tournaments. Furthermore, the euphoria of tournaments or competitions can also inspire youth enthusiasm, especially in the world of sports, thus providing a means for students to enliven the atmosphere by participating and supporting competing teams.
Therefore, to achieve this, we believe that students' potential requires a space to channel their talents. Therefore, concrete activities are needed that can inspire enthusiasm and foster active, productive, and educational collaboration to foster a sense of togetherness. The Internal Ekis Cup can serve as a platform for Islamic Economics students, which is expected to inspire the youth's fighting spirit in developing their talents in sports. Therefore, we intend to hold offline and online competitions. The competitions will be held in the sports categories of futsal, basketball, badminton, and table tennis, as well as in the
e-sports category of Mobile Legends, FIFA, and Magic Chess among Islamic Economics students from November 9 to November 24, 2024. This is expected to foster a competitive spirit, foster creativity and sportsmanship, and strengthen relationships between classes within the Islamic Economics department.
This event aligns with SDGs point 4, namely quality education, as it can serve as a platform for human resource development in event management and as a platform for enhancing non-academic skills. It also aligns with SDG point 17, namely partnerships to achieve goals, as successful collaboration with several partners (companies) is required to achieve the event's objectives.
