FRESH 2019
DAY 1
On Day 1, we held this fresh activity on campus, precisely in the ABC Hall. Day 1 was the opening ceremony of the fresh activity. Everything went smoothly, all committee members and participants were not late. The committee briefing was complete and the rundown of the event for today had been given, and the equipment had been prepared. It was 6:30 a.m. when the fresh participants entered the room. It took a bit of time because there were many participants, making it less conducive, but we were still able to handle it. The fresh participants had entered the room, it was time to sing the Indonesian national anthem, the Airlangga Hymn, and the Islamic Economic Hymn. However, when the Airlangga Hymn and the Islamic Economic Hymn were played, the fresh participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the Islamic Economics Student Association, Ahnan Fajar Nurridho, and a video was shown about the Student Association and its staff, as well as an introduction to the work programs being carried out.
Break time arrived, and the fresh participants took their break. They headed to the mosque to pray Dhuhur in congregation there. The committee carried out their respective duties to direct the participants to ensure a conducive atmosphere. After the break, each group performed their cheers to keep the atmosphere light. The fresh participants were very enthusiastic in performing their cheers, laughing, and getting to know each other. It was very enjoyable. Furthermore, they shared work experiences, academic introductions, and college experiences. It didn't take long for them to be very enthusiastic about asking questions. What they learned during college, what they did, how to get good grades, and many other questions they asked. They complained when the sharing ended. The committee arranged for the participants to be as conducive as before because it was time for break and the next event was the election of their temporary committee members. There were at least three committee members, some volunteered, some were nominated by their groups. The committee members voiced their visions and missions, but not all of them were serious, making them a bit of a joke. It was time to elect the committee by voting, and it didn't take long for the temporary committee to be elected.
DAY 2
Day 2 was an outbound activity held in the Kenjeran Park area, Surabaya. Next, security evaluated their mistakes, their assignments, and how they should behave with adults. This time, security was a little stricter because the participants themselves underestimated the task given by the committee. Even though the committee gave the task because it had its own essence, they underestimated it. They argued with each other, looking for a way out of this problem. Making them understand that we do more than just give assignments.
The next event was life skills, which was to earn a piece of the Islamic Economics emblem. There were six stations, each with its own essence to be conveyed. Station 1 was about leadership, Station 2 was about tolerance, Station 3 was about self-confidence, Station 4 was about responsibility, Station 5 was about pride, and Station 6 was about active criticism. Time was a bit hampered there, and the event rundown was a bit messy, but the event committee and other committee members tried to ensure the messy rundown wouldn't affect the subsequent events. We hurried, cutting back on a few events that wouldn't take long because the rundown we had created was already over-extended. After the break, the new students and committee members went home together.
DAY 3
Day 3 is the last day of Fresh. Between joy and sorrow mixed into one, we put all our efforts to make this day 3 memorable and memorable closing for Fresh 2019 participants. In the morning we held it in the ABC Hall, on day 2 participants were given the task of making a power point about the work program they planned and the inauguration of each group. And now they present the work program by forming a circle consisting of 4 FRESH groups and 2 residents in each circle, from the work program itself they are given the mandate and responsibility for their group how to realize it together. After presenting their respective work programs, it was time for the next event, which was sharing caring with residents to discuss problems that occurred during Fresh, like day 1 they remained enthusiastic about this sharing caring. Arguments also occurred between the committee, participants and residents. It took so long and took up a lot of events, so they made a backup rundown.
The break time arrived, a mixture of relief, joy, and sadness all rolled into one. They hugged each other. We moved to the IKOMA Sports Hall for the inauguration and awarding ceremony. During the inauguration, it was so much fun laughing, dancing, and dancing, there was a real sense of family in Islamic Economics between the committee and participants. This was the awarding ceremony they had been waiting for. The nominations were for Ikwan and Akhwat 2019, chosen based on how active they were and how they behaved, the best cheer, the most creative inauguration, how this child behaved towards the committee, and the selected work program. After having fun, it was time for Asr prayer at the Nuruzzaman Mosque and getting ready to go to the parking lot behind the mosque for the paper mob and closing ceremony.
