The Field Research Program , or RD for short, is a program of the Scientific Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association, specializing in research exploration for Islamic economics students at the Faculty of Islamic Economics, Universitas Airlangga . Field Research Program (PPL) is a forum for students interested in Islamic economics to enhance their intellectual and professional development in achieving the shared goal of establishing Islamic economics in Indonesia through research, which can be translated into scientific papers. Field Research Program (PPL) is a form of effort to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the field of research.

The Field Research Program is conducted weekly during the odd and even semesters. In 2018, the Field Research Program, which spanned seven months, was successfully completed.

This field research program aims to identify potential and potential development opportunities for the community, in accordance with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Students will utilize the knowledge they have gained in their studies to contribute to the community surrounding the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta. This aligns with this year's PPL theme, "Mosque alms funds have significant potential to improve the welfare of the community."

However, during this program, the person in charge of the research program encountered several obstacles. One of them was that participant appreciation did not meet the planned targets. This was the biggest motivation for continuing the program, as students needed it to develop environmental awareness, particularly in the field of writing.

The results of this research program showed that students truly enjoyed the research process, which focused on the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta. However, the research process also required students to develop reading habits and use proper Indonesian, which would improve their research writing.
