The Scientific Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association (HIMA EKIS) is proud to present Research Day 2025, a writing and mentoring event.
which is specifically designed for students of the class of 2025. This activity focuses on the introduction, creation, and development of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) into a Business Plan (BP), with the aim of honing writing skills, understanding business models, and forming entrepreneurial soft skills based on Islamic values.
Carrying the theme "Synergy of Mind and Faith: Developing Future Muslimpreneurs," Research Day 2025 emphasized the importance of synergy between intellectual intelligence and spiritual strength in developing innovative, ethical Muslim entrepreneurs who are able to responsibly provide solutions to environmental problems. This theme encourages the younger generation to become entrepreneurs who are not only competent in business but also bring blessings through Sharia-compliant business practices.
This event will be held online via Zoom Meeting on August 25, 2025 (Mentoring), with no fees charged.
Subsequent activities on August 25–29, 2025 (BMC) and August 30–September 5, 2025 (BP & Proposal) will be held offline in designated classrooms.
The award ceremony will be held offline on September 13, 2025.
This event will explore seven strategic sub-themes relevant to Islamic economic development: Halal F&B, Halal Tourism, General Fashion, Creative Industries, Socialpreneurship, Environment, and Halal Agribusiness. Through these sub-themes, participants will be guided to create innovative, implementable, and potentially sustainable business ideas.
Research Day 2025 also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing critical thinking, analytical skills, and business proposal writing; and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by encouraging the birth of business ideas that can create new, inclusive and sustainable business opportunities.
With a series of activities ranging from mentoring, BMC preparation, Business Plan development, to business idea presentations, Research Day 2025 is expected to be a forum for new students to hone their potential, channel their creativity, and prepare themselves as future Muslimpreneurs who are able to have a positive impact on society and the economy.
