Ekis Goes to Desa (EGD) is one of the work programs of the Public Relations Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association Universitas Airlangga which will be implemented in Krosok Hamlet, Krosok Village, Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency, East Java on July 20-25, 2025. This program aims to carry out community service actions by providing real contributions through the development and development of hamlet potential so that it can improve the welfare of its people.
In the 2025 period, Ekis Goes to Desa (EGD) raised the theme "Moving Together, Growing Forever: Synergistic Village, Optimistic Future" with the hope of establishing a strong synergy between the Krosok Hamlet community and students in moving together to develop the potential of Krosok Hamlet and optimistically looking to a better future so that the community grows prosperously. With several potentials in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry, Krosok Hamlet has a great opportunity to be developed into an economically independent and socially resilient village. This potential includes its geographical location on the highlands, sheep farming activities, and the enthusiasm of the community in participating in empowerment activities. Through a participatory and sustainable approach, Ekis Goes to Desa (EGD) 2025 presents programs that are not only short-term, but also capable of providing long-term impacts on improving community capacity and overall quality of life through several program events, namely economic, environmental, educational, and health.
This community service program designed in Krosok Hamlet has a direct link to several points in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Community economic empowerment activities through agricultural product processing and livestock waste utilization are in line with SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Maternal and child health socialization programs and eye health education support the achievement of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). In the environmental sector, silage innovation and greenhouse construction are in line with SDG 13 (Climate Action). Meanwhile, TPQ teaching and empowerment activities support SDG 4 (Quality Education). Thus, this program not only addresses local needs but also contributes to global efforts for inclusive, sustainable, and equitable development. In addition, Ekis Goes to Desa partners with villages and the Infaq Management Institute for village development, where this partnership is related to SDGs number 17, namely partnership for the goals.
