dialecticsThe External Academic Service Economic Dialogue (Dialectics) is an annual event held twice by the Islamic Economics Student Association Universitas Airlangga. The event aims to provide a discussion forum for contemporary issues in Islamic economics, with a view to fostering, adapting, and broadening the reach of Islamic economics. In 2024, the first External Academic Service Economic Dialogue (Dialectics) will feature the following themes:

“Islamic economics in everyday life, its applications and benefits for the younger generation”.

This event will be held online via Zoom Meeting at no cost and will be held on May 11, 2020, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. WIB. The webinar will feature speakers from external sources related to the proposed theme, including KNEKS.

This event is related to SDGs number 8, 9, 17, Where the relevance of SDGs number 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth, is reflected by the ultimate goal of the Dialectics program, which is to encourage the achievement of the national economic resilience program, through educational media that fosters the fighting spirit of the younger generation in developing the potential of the sharia economy in Indonesia. Furthermore, the relevance of SDGs number 9, namely Industry, Innovation, and infrastructure, is depicted in the core of the Dialectics event which will later provide advice to participants to be wiser in spending their assets, by directing them to the realm of sharia companies, so that the halal and sharia industry will later grow further. While the relevance of SDGs number 17, namely Partnership for the goals, is found in the great hope of the Dialectics event, namely inviting all Islamic economic fighters to form partnerships and collective cooperation in order to achieve greater positive results, when compared to working independently.

Therefore, we took the initiative to invite speakers from KNEKS, given its central role as a government institution with a primary role in national economic and financial development. This will ensure the worldview presented is more comprehensive and relevant to the current state of the Indonesian and global economy.

By holding this Dialectic activity, it is hoped that all participants will have a deeper understanding of the ins and outs of Islamic economics, and can implement various important values within it in their daily lives, so that in the future they will be able to encourage the growth of the Islamic economics and finance, for the sake of achieving the national economic resilience program.
