Socialization of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) and Joint Practice with the Chair of the East Java BUMDES Forum to Develop the Potential of Wonosalam Village in the 2022 Ekis Goes to Village (EGD) Program
The Islamic Economics Student Association has several major programs implemented this year, one of which is Ekis Goes to Village (EGD) 2022. Ekis Goes to Village (EGD) is a village service program participated by Islamic Economics students Universitas Airlangga. This year, EGD 2022 carries the theme "Elaboration of the development and utilization of natural and human resources in Mangirejo Hamlet, Wonosalam Village, Jombang, East Java in the aspects of health, education, environment, and economy to increase sociopreneurship and environmental awareness". Through this activity, the committee contributes directly to the community of Mangirejo Hamlet, Wonosalam Village, especially in building and developing village potential, both in the economic, education, environment, and health sectors.
The economic sub-event committee on July 24, 2022, held a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) Socialization program for residents of Wonosalam Village. The Chairperson of the East Java BUMDES Forum, Mrs. Erina Sudaryati Dra., MS., Ak., CMA., CA, was invited to provide the socialization. Activities carried out in this program, in addition to the socialization, included a practice of forming small groups from the residents present to brainstorm to create village businesses that could attract visitors. Each group was asked to think about the potential of Wonosalam Village and design programs that could be implemented to develop the existing potential.
This concept was developed to provide insight and awareness to Wonosalam Village residents, enabling them to maximize their natural resources and develop profitable businesses to support the village's economy. This outreach program is linked to optimizing SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, aimed at Wonosalam Village residents.
