"No one should underestimate the importance of attending a gathering of knowledge. They should try to attend it, because they might gain benefits that will lead to their entry into heaven." (Sheikh Shalih Al Fauzan)

To revitalize the Islamic economic system, the role of students and academics is essential to publicize and direct the public to the importance of this science as a solution to current economic problems. The introduction and understanding of the Islamic economic system among some groups alone is not sufficient to offer this economic system as a solution to global economic problems. The active role of students, especially Islamic Economics students, and academics in popularizing this economic system is necessary by introducing it to the public through learning media (such as forums and scientific discussions), electronic media, print media, community media (such as socialization and restructuring in the economic system), and other media. This is the background to the Scientific Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga holding the Economic Dialogue for Academic Service (DIALEKTIKA) as one of its work programs aimed at further socializing Islamic economics and sharpening students' critical thinking on popular issues and topics in Islamic economics.

The Bakti Akademika Economic Dialogue, commonly abbreviated as Dialektika, is a program of the Scientific Division of the Islamic Economics Student Association (HIMAS) Universitas Airlangga It serves as a forum for discussing and addressing contemporary issues in Islamic economics. This program is divided into two activity formats: the first is a routine study held every two weeks on Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00, and the second is a seminar held once per semester.

The Dialectics study is open to all students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, while the seminar is open to the public. The speakers at the Dialectics activities are usually tailored to the theme being discussed. Dialectics speakers consist of upper-level Islamic economics students, Islamic economics alumni, and Islamic economics lecturers. The topics to be discussed are prepared and reviewed by the Scientific Division one month prior to the event. The topics discussed revolve around contemporary issues, which are expected to broaden the horizons of Islamic economics students and increase their awareness of the current state of Islamic economics. The Dialectics implementation usually begins with a presentation by the speaker, followed by a group discussion. Minutes of the study will also be posted on website , with the aim of allowing students who did not participate in the study to read the results and disseminate the knowledge to all groups.
