On November 26-29, 2018, the Accounting Student Association of Brawijaya University held the Brawijaya Accounting Fair 2018. The Brawijaya Accounting Fair 2018 is an accounting olympiad with four series of events, namely the National Seminar, Accounting Competition, Field Trip, and Gala Dinner.

The first day featured a cryptocurrency-themed National Seminar, with speakers Muhammad Deivito Dunggio, Indodax's lead consultant; Danarto Tri Sasongko from the Bank Indonesia Payment System Policy Department; and Ersa Tri Wahyuni, PhD, CA., CPMA., CPSAK., an accounting lecturer at Padjajaran University. The second day of the competition featured a preliminary round consisting of short-term investment, perpetual investment, and lets-get-profit sub-rounds. The semifinals and finals were held on the fourth day.
In addition to the competition, on the second day, participants also took part in a field trip to Jatim Park 2. Participants were also required to participate in a photo challenge with categories for the most compact team, the most exciting team, and the most dangerous team. The competition concluded with a gala dinner on the evening of the fourth day at the Same Hotel.
Universitas Airlangga delegated two teams consisting of Patrick Aloysius Wijaya (Accounting 2016), Fince Layadi (Accounting 2016), Tanaya Devi Kemala Agni (Accounting 2016), Arjava Samartha (Accounting 2016), Pasha Dewi Rosidi (Accounting 2016), and Melati Kusuma (Accounting 2016). Both teams successfully became the top 20 teams that qualified for the main round, defeating 35 teams in the online preliminary stage.
