Universitas Airlangga students once again succeeded in making their alma mater proud in the accounting competition entitled "ACTION (Accounting Competition)" in the series of events of the 2018 Accounting Scientific Week. This year the event which was well organized by the Accounting Department Student Association of Jenderal Soedirman University Purwokerto on October 5-7, 2018 carried the theme " Make This Opportunity to Become an Accountant with Integrity ".

Beginning with an online preliminary round Universitas Airlangga .

The preliminary round has brought Rizky Wasis Pratama, Vivi Ayu Kurniawati, and Mega Nur Alita Sari as delegates from Universitas Airlangga . The three of them departed on Friday, October 5th at 10:45 a.m. WIB and arrived back in Surabaya on Sunday, October 7th at 3:47 a.m. WIB. The first series of events on Saturday included an individual round , a group round , and a jackpot round multiple-choice questions individually. Followed by a group round, each team worked on the questions in relay after previously discussing to determine the strategy. The final round for the semifinal round was the jackpot round. In this round, there were 15 questions with varying levels of difficulty that were worked on in groups and the point value was also linear with the level of difficulty of the questions. After the end of the semifinal round, there was a technical meeting attended by all participants.

the final round , was announced . Based on the score in the previous round, Universitas Airlangga was declared to have qualified for the next round. In the final round, there were two rounds, namely the case presentation and accounting battle . The case regarding the ethics of an auditor was the main topic in the presentation round. While in the accounting battle, each team received mandatory questions about accounting and also questions that were contested by the three teams that passed the final round. After all the ACTION PIA series ended, Universitas Airlangga was declared the Third Place and was surpassed by the team from STIE Perbanas Surabaya as the first place and the second place was won by the team from Semarang State University. As the third place winner, the Universitas Airlangga was entitled to take home a trophy, certificate and coaching money. The Unair team nicknamed "The Next SA" said that the experience of being among the participants and the ACTION committee as well as the tense yet fun competition atmosphere was something that could not be valued in rupiah. In addition, all of this was inseparable from the support of the faculty such as Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak . as dean, Dr. Rudi Purwono, SE., MSE. as Vice Dean 1, and all parties who cannot be mentioned individually. This delegation team hopes that this victory will further motivate us to continue achieving. Don't be satisfied because of small things that you have already achieved in your past .
