
The rapidly changing world is now entering the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, marked by the widespread implementation of the digital world and the internet in everyday life. For students, this can undoubtedly threaten their future. Competitions such as quizzes are expected to provide a platform for channeling creativity, enhancing competitive spirit, fostering a sense of achievement, and developing character prepared to face the changing times.
The Accounting Education Student Association of Yogyakarta State University held the 2018 National Accounting Quiz Competition (LCCA) which was divided into several forms of activities, namely the National Accounting Quiz Competition for High School Students and the Smart Accounting Competition (SAC) for University Students as well as a Talkshow for Teachers and the Public, with the aim of training the abilities and skills of students and providing opportunities to demonstrate achievements, innovation, and competitiveness. As well as providing a means for teachers to discuss and increase knowledge in order to maximize their role through strategies

After successfully defeating 63 teams in the Preliminary Online stage, the Universitas Airlangga delegation consisting of Renita Dwi Somadianti (Accounting 2016), Lailiyatul Isyaroh (Accounting 2016), and Tanaya Devi Kemala Agni (Accounting 2016), was sent to Yogyakarta to participate in a series of events in the main round against 19 other teams. The main round consists of the Preliminary Round (group problem solving), the Semifinal Round (case study presentation), and the Final Round (quiz).
