In order to implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture has designed the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards program. This program provides eligible 5th and 7th semester undergraduate students at universities within the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture to study for one semester (approximately 16 weeks) at partner universities abroad. By participating in this program, students also have the opportunity to interact with international students, lecturers, and local communities at foreign universities, in addition to participating in various cultural activities at their respective universities. The Indonesian International Student Mobility Program aims to facilitate Indonesian students to study multidisciplinary knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and cultures, and build networks with fellow students, academics, and the international community at universities abroad. Through this program, students are expected to gain experience, knowledge, and skills to become quality graduates.
2022 is the second year of the IISMA program and as many as 1,155 students from various Domestic Universities (PTDN) were selected as IISMA Awardees 2022. And this year, as many as 46 Universitas Airlangga students from various faculties and study programs were selected to receive this scholarship and 4 (four) of them were delegates from the Faculty of Economics and Business. The FEB Unair students who successfully passed and received awards as IISMA awardees were Muhammad Mahesa Ardana Arya Farmansah (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at the University of Birmingham, Azzahra Laveryant Tohadim (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at Humboldt University of Berlin, Alifyaa Rahmanita (Bachelor of Management 2019) at Penn State University, and Alessandro Kartina (Bachelor of Management 2020) at Pompeu Fabra University.
