The 2018 charity event featured the theme of the struggle for literacy. The struggle in question was the fight against ignorance through the dissemination of knowledge.
Charity 2018 was held on November 9, 2018 in the Soepoyo Hall of FEB Unair. At the beginning of the event, there was a performance from the 2018 Accounting Band who sang several songs, then continued with poetry reading and narration by Indah Nurisnaeni (AKS1'17), Yuniar (AKS1'17), Christian Arie Rotty (AKS1'16) and Moderator, Dhanan Verdi (AKS1'15). After the poetry reading and narration, there was a talk show by the two speakers, telling relaxed but serious stories with both of them providing a lot of knowledge and inspiration for all CHARITY 2018 audiences. The speakers we invited were Mr. Soesilo Ananta Toer as a writer and owner of the Pataba library in Blora and Kak Yunaz Karaman as a fairy tale writer and owner of his old library, Prasojo. Their goal as writers and library owners is to share knowledge with the entire community and share how important literacy is for life. These two great men agreed that life should benefit others, and they have been a benefit to others. A question-and-answer session followed, followed by the presentation of donations and plaques to the two speakers. Finally, the event concluded with a Poetry Musicalization performance by FISIP International Relations students. Was the 2018 Charity event so exciting? Thank you for all the support from all parties, and we look forward to CHARITY 2019.
