The Accounting Student Conference is an annual event held by the Accounting Study Program Student Association of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University. In the first round, the submitted full papers will be selected into 10 best works that will advance to the semifinal round to participate in the conference and presentation of works on March 12, 2020. On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, all teams attended a technical meeting related to the competition's technicalities in one of the hall buildings of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University. The series of technical meeting events started from 3:45 PM to 6:25 PM WIB, which consisted of re-registration of participants, participant briefing, determining the order of presentation of works, ice
breaking, and closing. On Thursday, March 12, 2020, there was a conference and work presentation. The conference series of events started from 7:00 AM to 7:25 PM WIB, consisting of participant re-registration, conference segment 1: talk show, conference segment 2: work presentation, and closing. On Friday, March 13, 2020, there was a mini-trip to Ledok Sambi Ecoplayground, Yogyakarta. The mini-trip series of activities started from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM WIB, consisting of re-registration, participant briefing, the trip to Ledok Sambi Ecoplayground, the dynamics at Ledok Sambi Ecoplayground, lunch together, the trip back to campus, and closing. The Gathering Night event also served as the closing ceremony for the Accounting Student Conference series. The event also included the announcement of the winners. The winners included Gadjah Mada University as Best Delegate, University of Indonesia 1 as Best Challenger, University of Indonesia 2 as Best Competitor, and Universitas Airlangga as Best Paper.
The Accounting Student Conference that we participated in was organized by Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University, the event was held on March 11-13, 2020. Our motivation for participating in the competition was to gain experience, increase knowledge, and also to bring good name to Universitas Airlangga. By participating in the event, we were able to gain knowledge through other participants who also attended the event so that we could later use the lessons for the future when participating in other conferences and scientific writing competitions. In participating in the event, of course, our hope was to win and when the announcement came, Alhamdulillah, our team received one of the nominations at the Accounting Student Conference. Of course, we are very proud because our hard work has paid off. Hopefully, other friends from Universitas Airlangga , especially the Faculty of Economics and Business, can also bring good name by participating in similar competitions.
