Accounting Scientific Week (PIA) is a national accounting competition organized by the Accounting Student Association (HMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Lambung Mangkurat University. This competition brings together Accounting students throughout
Indonesia to establish relationships and expand relationships with all accounting students in Indonesia. Accounting Scientific Week, hereinafter abbreviated as PIA, was first realized in 1997. PIA has a variety of events including the Accounting Competition (AC) and National Seminar. This year's PIA comes with the theme ʺRe-inventing the Roles of Accountants Amidst Global & SDG`s 2030 Challengeʺ. SDG's 2030 is a newly created sustainable development agenda to answer the demands of world leadership in overcoming poverty, inequality, and climate change in the form of concrete actions contained in the 17 sustainable development goals. Through the PIA 2020 activities, students can see various new opportunities to support and optimize the role of the accounting profession towards the changes that occur towards SDG`s 2030.

In 2020, PIA was held online for the first time. This was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a form of support for the government's efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by implementing social distancing and working from home. After a selection process, 15 of the best teams from across Indonesia were selected. Universitas Airlangga was represented by two teams. The concept of this competition was very interesting, filled with several games in each round. This Online Competition activity is expected to be a new experience for students and also to teach students to remain adaptive in responding to various changes in natural conditions.
