The Scientific Week of Accounting (PIA) is a national level accounting competition organized by the Accounting Student Association (HMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Lambung Mangkurat University. This competition brings together accounting students
throughout Indonesia to establish friendship and add relationships with all accounting students in Indonesia. The accounting scientific week, hereinafter abbreviated as PIA, was first realized in 1997. PIA has various series of events including Accounting Competition (AC) and National Seminar. This year PIA comes with the theme ʺre-Inventing The Roles of Accountants Amidst Global & SDG's 2030 Challengeʺ. SDG's 2030 is a new development agenda that has just been made to answer the demands of world leadership in overcoming poverty, gaps, and climate change in the form of concrete action contained in 17 Sustainable Development Purpose. Through PIA 2020 activities students can see new opportunities to support and optimize the role of the accountant profession on the changes that occur towards SDG's 2030.

In 2020, for the first time, PIA was held online. This is due to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a form of support for the government to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by implementing social distancing and working from home. After the selection process, the 15 best teams from all over Indonesia were selected. Universitas Airlangga was represented by two teams. The concept of this competition is very interesting and includes several games in each round. It is hoped that this Online Competition activity can be a new experience for students as well as teach students to remain adaptive in responding to various changes in natural conditions.
