SRIKANDI CHIT-CHAT ACCESS

Friday, November 9, 2018, was the final meeting of the Srikandi AcSES agenda. This moment was very special because it was attended by the majority of new FEB Unair students who were very enthusiastic in participating in this event. The theme of this Srikandi was Productive Muslim Women Contributing to Islam with a cool speaker, namely Ika, an alumnus of the Islamic Economics study program 2013. It began with a question from the speaker to all Srikandi participants who were present, namely "What is your contribution so far to Islam?" This question seemed very difficult, but the participants seemed to have contributed even if only a little to Islam. Starting from switching from using conventional banks to Islamic banks, studying Islamic economics, and trying to be consistent in implementing Islamic law. Then the next question was "What does it mean to be productive?" The meaning of productive in this case is doing things that are beneficial so that they produce good things. The discussion continued until the Muslim women during the time of the Prophet who made a great contribution to Islam. One of them was Siti Khadijah who supported the Prophet in preaching in various aspects ranging from physical to financial. Then there was Siti Asiyah, Pharaoh's wife, who believed in the Prophet Moses' faith and was very gentle with everyone. The discussion ended promptly at 12:30 p.m. with a communal prayer.
