SMART 1, which is an acronym for Sharia Motivation and Achievement Training 1, is one of the work programs of the HRD Division, AcSES FEB UNAIR. SMART 1 is the first cadre development activity for Acsessor 2019. This year's SMART 1 is different from previous years because it is held outside the city, namely in Pacet, Mojokerto.
This activity began on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 6:00 PM where all participants gathered in the FEB lobby. After all gathered, participants were directed to the vehicle that would take them to Pacet. Upon arrival at the villa, they were immediately invited to rest. Next, participants were woken up at 3:00 AM, the morning agenda was Tahajud prayer, muroja'ah juz 30, morning prayer, and reading al-ma'surat. These activities are part of the culture of AcSES that must continue to be carried out.
In the morning around 6:00 a.m., participants did morning exercises to maintain physical fitness. Next, they were directed to have breakfast and clean themselves because the event would continue with the material. The first material was about AcSESan delivered by Hasbi Ash Shidiq as the President Director of AcSES. This material relates to the history of AcSES, the direction of AcSES's movement as a Reasoning UKMF on campus and as KSEI outside the campus. The second material was about FoSSEIan delivered directly by Achmad Dika Maulana as the Regional Coordinator of FoSSEI East Java. The material about FoSSEI also led to the definition of FoSSEI, the direction of FoSSEI's movement, the relationship between KSEI and FoSSEI, and so on. The second material ended after a closing statement from the speaker.
After the material was completed, the participants' abilities were tested with the Ranking 1 game. The questions in Ranking 1 were a combination of AcSES and FoSSEI materials, as well as knowledge about the AcSES secretariat and several people in AcSES. This not only aimed to determine the participants' understanding of the material that had been given but also to determine how close the participants were to the BPH and DK before the SMART 1 event. Ranking 1 was won by Dewi Rahmawati from the Research and Paper Division.
At 1:30 p.m., the activity continued with the third topic, which focused on Islamic economics. However, this third topic differed from the previous ones in that it wasn't delivered through a lecture method, but rather through games. Participants were divided into eight groups, each consisting of three to four people from different divisions. Each group was given a route to four designated checkpoints. At each checkpoint, the group competed against other groups, faced challenges, and was then given questions about Islamic economics. At the end of the game, the checkpoint guard explained the answers to the questions. These games aimed to provide participants with information about Islamic economics in a unique and enjoyable way.
In addition to the Islamic economics material presented in the form of games, the Cadre Development Council held roleplays for all participants and the BPH (Regional Leadership Council). Each group was given a case study to answer based on their previously acquired profession. The agenda aimed to train participants' thinking and speaking skills. That evening, after Isha prayers, participants presented their best work at the inauguration. The inauguration had a Disney theme. After the inauguration, participants had a barbecue party with the BPH and DK. However, the BBQ party was especially interesting because it was accompanied by AcSES alumni from 2014 and 2015, allowing participants to have a casual chat with the alumni. The evening's activities ended at 11:45 p.m.
On the final day, participants were woken up at 3:30 a.m. to perform Tahajud prayer, recite Juz 30, pray Subuh prayer, and read Al-Ma'surat as the previous day. The final day included games held by the Cadre Development Council, which aimed to introduce participants to each other, the BPH, and the DK. After the games ended, participants were invited to eat and clean themselves. Then, there was a gift exchange, award ceremony, group photos, and the return to Surabaya.
With SMART 1, the HRD Division of BPH hopes that all 2019 Accessors will understand AcSES and FoSSEI better, and develop a closer relationship with one another, fostering a sense of comfort. This comfort is expected to foster a deeper love for AcSES, allowing 2019 Accessors to embrace the program not just as a work program but as a means of worship.
