The Association of Sharia Economics (AcSES) FEB Universitas Airlangga proudly presents the Islamic Business Seminar (SEMBIS) themed “The Future of Sharia Business: Exploring Digital Potential and the Role of Generation Z.” This event aims to be a platform for in-depth and interactive discussions on the various opportunities and challenges facing sharia businesses in the digital era.
This seminar presents two main perspectives: academics who will explain the development of sharia businesses, the potential of digital technology, the strategic role of Generation Z, and the challenges and solutions in the digitalization process. On the other hand, practitioner speakers will share real-life experiences in building and running sharia businesses in the digital era, always adhering to the principles of the Quran and Hadith.
This event also aims to:
1. Increase understanding of how digital technology can change the landscape of sharia businesses.
2. Identify the strategic role of Generation Z in developing fair and responsible businesses.
3. Encourage collaboration between stakeholders to create a stronger and more inclusive sharia business ecosystem.
This seminar directly supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by encouraging the creation of innovative and sustainable sharia-compliant businesses, opening new job opportunities, and contributing to inclusive economic growth. It also supports SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by exploring the potential of digital technology to strengthen sharia-compliant businesses, thus creating a more competitive and sustainable industry.
By combining academic knowledge and practical experience, this seminar is expected to enrich participants' insights and encourage better implementation of sharia-compliant businesses in the digital era. Let's contribute together to a sustainable future for sharia-compliant businesses!
