ISLAMIC BUSINESS SEMINAR 2025
(Strengthening the Foundations of Islamic Economy as a Strategic Driver for Business Transformation Towards Achieving the SDGs 2030)
The 2025 Islamic Business Seminar is a strategic program of the Islamic Business Division of the UKMF Association of Sharia Economics (AcSES), Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga . This activity is presented as a tangible contribution from the younger generation in strengthening the foundations of Islamic economics as an alternative solution to address global challenges, particularly in supporting the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .
With the theme "Strengthening the Foundations of Islamic Economy as a Strategic Driver for Business Transformation Towards Achieving the SDGs 2030," this seminar is designed as an educational and reflective space, featuring speakers from academics and Islamic business practitioners. Participants will be invited to understand more deeply how sharia principles such as justice, sustainability, and pro-real sector support can form the foundation for creating a just, inclusive, and sustainable economic system.
Through this activity, students and the general public are expected to be able to identify the contribution of Islamic economics to global agendas such as poverty alleviation (SDG 1), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), reduced inequality (SDG 10), and responsible consumption and production (SDG 12). This seminar also serves as a strategic platform to strengthen the role of the younger generation as agents of change in economic development based on Islamic ethical and spiritual values.
With an inspiring and interactive national seminar format, this event will feature presentations and discussions that encourage collaboration between academics, business actors, and other stakeholders. Through this synergy, it is hoped that an inclusive, adaptive, and globally competitive Islamic business ecosystem will be created, in line with the spirit of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
