Delegation from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga Participated in the 2018 Economic Student Competition In Presenting A Paper (Es-Cooter) at Semarang State University

Friday, 19 October 2018 was the journey of Universitas Airlangga , namely Muhammad Afifuddin Affan, Debby Isnaeni Nurrosyieda, and Diah Ayu Kurnia class of 2015 from the Development Economics study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, to Semarang State University to take part in the Economic Student Competition In Presenting A Paper ( Es-Cooter) 2018. This event is a national scientific writing competition organized by the Development Economics Student Association, Semarang State University. October 19 2018 is the departure day from Pasar Turi Surabaya Station at 13.08 WIB to Tawang Mangu Station arriving at 17.20 WIB. In the evening at 20.00 WIB a technical meeting with all participants until 21.00 WIB.


Saturday 20 October 2018 was the time when presentations were held from all participants at the Faculty of Economics, Semarang State University. We get the order of presentation at the twelfth or last number. Waste-Free Fishing Village Tourism as a Marine Tourism Destination in Bulak District is the title of our paper. This is the result of observations and interviews with residents of Bulak District who then incorporated problems, analyzes and ideas into our written work. This paper focuses on empowering the people of Bulak District to process waste and build community awareness so that the surrounding environment can support it if Bulak District is truly made into a marine tourism destination by the City Government. This idea led us to win second place. Universitas Airlangga sent two delegation teams, the other team came from the Statics Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, which also won Best Poster in this competition.


On the last day, 21 October 2018, there was a field trip which was the final event in the 2018 Economic Student Competition In Presenting A Paper (Es-Cooter) which started at 09.30 WIB. The destination of field trip is Sam Poo Kong, Lawang Sewu, the souvenir center, and the Great Mosque of Central Java. At 21.08 WIB we returned to Surabaya from Tawang Station.
