Open Chapter Writing Together is a work program from the Scientific Division of the Master of Science in Islamic Economics Student Association (HIMA MSEI) Universitas Airlangga . The aim of the "Open Chapter Write Together" activity is to broaden understanding of current Islamic management and business practices. Apart from that, another aim of this activity is to encourage a broader discussion regarding Islamic Management and Business, taking into account various different views and perspectives. Through systematic explanations accompanied by examples of recent company case studies, it is hoped that this activity can strengthen the position of Islamic management and business as a relevant and important scientific discipline in book form. This activity can be participated in by Master of Islamic Economics students Universitas Airlangga and General Affairs.
Apart from that, the practical benefits expected from Writing Together with MSEI include providing an overview of the application of Management and Business in Islam, as reading material and textbooks, as well as being a reference for the wider community. This activity also supports the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by encouraging discussions about sustainable business management systems, and SDG 10 (Reducing Inequalities) by reducing economic disparities in society. Thus, this activity is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of knowledge and practice of Islamic Management and Business, as well as supporting the achievement of relevant sustainable development goals. Thus, Islamic management and business have strong relevance to the SDGs, especially in creating inclusive economic growth and reducing inequality, making it an important tool in achieving sustainable development goals globally.
