Annual Event of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Expo Management was held again. Management Olympiad (MO) is one of the sub -events that will be held in the series of events. Management Olympiad is one of the sub -events of the Expo Management series organized by the S1 Student Association Universitas AirlanggaManagement. Management Olympiad is a national -level Olympics which is a forum for high school/vocational high school students to be able to develop understanding and improve the ability of problem solving in the field of management. This year Olympiad management carries a big theme, "Driving Forward with Future Economics: Cultivating Leadership for Today's Opportunities" as an effort to encourage young people to understand and overcome future economic challenges. This event aims to develop leadership abilities, innovations, and critical thinking of the participants through special designed competitions. Thus, it is expected that the participants are not only ready to face fast economic changes, but are also able to take advantage of existing opportunities to create positive impacts in society.
Management of Olympiad 2024 is related to SDGs Number 4 (Quality Education) in accordance with the purpose of MO 2024, namely instilling a competitive spirit for high school/vocational high school students. SDGs Number 8 (Dent Work and Economic Growth) in accordance with the purpose of MO 2024 which aims to increase the knowledge and ability of students of high school/vocational high school in the field of management. And SDGs Number 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) Increase insight and skills for high school/vocational students to solve problems in groups/teams. This cooperation is important to achieve common goals in supporting sustainable development. Through this activity, participants are expected to understand the importance of quality education as the main foundation in developing self -competence. In addition, increasing knowledge and skills in the field of management will provide strong provisions for them to contribute to sustainable economic growth. Collaboration created between participants and other stakeholders will strengthen their ability to work together to achieve common goals, both in the academic and professional context in the future.
Management Olympiad 2024 also provides education for students to innovate and be creative in finding solutions to the problems encountered, encouraging them to think critically and analytically. Thus, this event not only prepared them for challenges in the world of work, but also formed them to be future leaders who were able to adapt to global dynamics and contribute positively to the wider community. Registration of Olympiad Management 2024 was opened on July 17 - August 20, with the first stage of the preliminary stage in the form of management questions carried out on September 29, 2024, the infographic stage was continued on 5-10 October 2024, the semifinal stage of making case study video in accordance with the theme to be selected by the participants, the video collection was uploaded through Instagram each participant and presented offline at Aula Soepoyo on November 8, 2024. The debate that will be made by 4 teams selected as winners in the semifinal stage and held on November 9, 2024 in the Fadjar Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
