ECW is one of the major work programs implemented by the 2021 Development Economics Student Association. This program with an entrepreneurial theme is under the entrepreneurship department of HIMA EP Unair.
Entrepreneurship and Career Workshop (ECW) is an event that can provide knowledge on how to create or enter the business world and provide insight and skills in preparation for entering the world of work as well as job information for job seekers through training and workshops. Apart from job seekers, ECW can also increase knowledge for students who want to start their own business. In 2021, ECW has the theme "The Importance of Human Capital in the Professional World" which consists of 2 series of events, the first series is a Web Seminar on career and entrepreneurship. The second series is a workshop.
On November 13 2021, a career webinar was successfully carried out with the theme "Optimizing your potential to compete in the professional world" which was held in 2 sessions, namely the morning session and the afternoon session. The first session in this activity was to discuss career with the title "Establish your preeminence for a purposeful career journey". Meanwhile, the second session discussed entrepreneurship with the title "Turn Your Potential to Solve Real-life Problems Through Entrepreneurship".
In this webinar, the first session of the ECW career Webinar invited the Chief People Officer from tiket.com, namely Mr. Dudi Arisandi and the Country Head of Organization & Talent Development from Lazada Indonesia, namely Mr. Yanuar Kurniawan, and moderated by the Lecturer at the Department of Economics Universitas Airlangga , Mr. Shaykh Rohman.
In this webinar, we discussed how to optimize one's own strengths to achieve a future career journey, apart from that, questions and answers were also held about careers with the two of them. This first session was also attended by hundreds of participants who joined from various places in Indonesia.
In the second session, the webinar continued on entrepreneurship, namely "Turn Your Potential to Solve Real-life Problems Through Entrepreneurship", where this session invited the Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer from Aruna Indonesia, namely Kak Utari Octavianty, and the founder of Hi Cups, namely Kak Kathleen Gondoutomo,
In this session, according to the theme, we discuss various potential developments that exist around us to solve problems in everyday life through activities related to entrepreneurship, such as Kak Utari who developed Aruna from the problem of fishermen who find it difficult to market their caught products.
Finally, the 10th ECW Webinar was successful, and was attended by hundreds of participants from various regions, hopefully the knowledge provided by the presenters at this activity can be applied by participants in their respective regions.
