Transportation and location constraints when buying supporting books always force students to buy course supporting books this semester. Apart from that, as time goes by, many students are starting to forget the importance of reading books. Therefore, we as the 2018 Islamic Economics Student Association will hold a Book Bazaar to increase students' enthusiasm for having supporting books and to make students aware that books are a source of knowledge that we cannot obtain from technology.
This book bazaar program ran well from 5 to 17 February 2018 by opening a stand in the corner of the FEB building, Universitas Airlangga . The current book bazaar has the theme "more books, more knowledge". We have sold various books for students' needs. We started by sending a proposal to the publisher and then after it was accepted we started taking various books from the publisher. In the first period, sales were not that much because there were no new students who needed a lot of books. However, the sales have been quite high, we even restocked some of the book titles from the publisher because many people bought them and we had a lack of book inventory. After that we started to recap the income results and the number of books remaining. In the second period of the book bazaar, we hope that the results will exceed those of the first period of the book bazaar and we hope that students will continue to enjoy reading books.
