(FEB NEWS) Sunday, November 5 2023, a National Business Case Competition was held which was held by HIMA S1 Management, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). The National Business Case Competition is a program that aims to develop critical thinking, the ability to innovate and be creative, as well as collaborate in solving problems within the business or corporate environment. This year, the National Business Case Competition carries the theme "Youth-Driven Sustainable Investments: Exploring ESG-Focused Strategies for Sustainable Economic Growth". This activity was carried out offline at the Joint Lecture Building (GKB) Campus C, Universitas Airlangga , Surabaya.
This year, the 2023 National Business Case Competition is related to SDGs number 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth and 17, namely Partnerships for the Goals. Through this competition, participants are invited to design sustainable investment strategies that support viable economic growth. That way, they can help create decent jobs and contribute to sustainable economic growth. Through this competition, participants are given the opportunity to build collaboration to share ideas, knowledge and experience in developing sustainable investment strategies. By encouraging cooperation and partnerships in efforts to achieve the SDGs, this competition supports the achievement of sustainable development goals more broadly.
In this competition, we invited 3 lecturers from the Management department of FEB UNAIR as judges, namely Mr. Zainul Musthofa, MBA, Mr. Jhon Hardi ST., M.SM., C.SM., CSR.A, and Mr. Mochammad Badowi, MBA, and Mrs. Niza Azizah as Assistant Manager of the Environmental, Social & Governance Group from PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. as a jury representative from our Company Partners.
The activity began with opening remarks from Tony Gunawan as Person in Charge of the 2023 National Business Case Competition, followed by remarks by M. Syauqi Anwar as Person in Charge of Expo 13 Management, continued by Vievania Eunike Putri as Chair of the Universitas Airlangga Undergraduate Management Student Association, and welcoming remarks The last one was given by Mrs. Dr. Dien Mardhiah SE., M.Si as Head of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Universitas Airlangga .
The event continued with taking serial numbers for presentations from the 6 teams that made it to the final round out of a total of 60 teams, then continued with presentations from each of the 2023 NBCC finalists. After going through a series of presentations, first place was obtained, namely the BCD Consulting team from the University of Indonesia, second place. from the Gray Consulting team from the University of Indonesia, third place from the Upi Edun team from the Indonesian University of Education, first place from the Maine Coon team, and second place from the Gacor Kang team. Next, the event closed with an awards session and giving plaques and certificates to the judges who had present.
