SURABAYA, PETISI.CO – The Master of Management (MM) Program Universitas Airlangga (Unair) Surabaya received an award certificate as '1st Best Study Program'. This award is a form of attention and appreciation for the performance he has achieved so far.

Head of the Master of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unair, Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto, SE, M.Si said that the award was directly given by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor to study programs that have good and improving performance in order to synergize missions and work programs between all components within Unair.

"I am grateful for God's blessing, for all the blessings of receiving attention and appreciation for his performance and achievements so far. "We also express our gratitude to the heads of faculties and universities," he said in Surabaya, Thursday (31/1/2019).

It was explained that the MM Masters Study Program received an award as 'Best Study Program 1' in the Masters, Doctoral, SP1 and SP2 Study Program categories in the field of Social Sciences. MM FEB Unair received an award as the 1st best study program for Masters and Doctoral degrees in non-exacts within Unair.

"So there are other awards for undergraduate study programs in exact sciences, undergraduate non-exact study programs and master's degree study programs in exact sciences. "And Bachelor of Management also received an award as the best undergraduate study program 1," said Gancar, who also doubles as a lecturer at FEB Unair.

The day before, MM FEB Unair had received appreciation from the Faculty, namely an award as a study program with CSR Innovation. “MM received national accreditation from BAN PT A from 2006 until now. "MM FEB Unair was formed in 1991. So it is already 28 years old," he added.

The award-winning criteria this time were 18 items. So the measurement is very rigid looking at various aspects including national and international accreditation. “Alhamdulillah, MM FEB Unair has been internationally accredited by ABEST21 Japan. "The international accreditation has been A for 3 periods," he said.

Still regarding the award, Gancar said MM did many things, up to 18 indicator items were adequate, even considered the best. New things are also done in the learning process that are not only classical and discussions.

“There is also using marketing simulation software. "Experiential based learning is also carried out in business ethics and CSR courses, by giving group CSR assignments to students," he explained.

Regarding superior innovations/programs that have been implemented and that will be implemented in the future by the MM FEB Study Program related to domestic and foreign economic development, Gancar explained that MM FEB Unair has introduced many innovations. Among other things, with the existence of a new curriculum that includes new things.

"In the future, with the work theme being 'More CSR, more global and more IT', the direction of the future program will also point in that direction. Provision is not enough to just provide lectures for students. "But it is also an innovative and technology-based learning process," he said. ( bm )
