(Feb News) "Workshop on Regional MSME Development" for MSMEs with material "Digital Strategy and Export Opportunities" by Untung Basuki - Head of East Java Customs and Excise I, Moderator Dr. Ika Yunia Fauzia, on Monday, June 26, 2023 was successfully held by the Sharia Department of FEB UNAIR in collaboration with IAEI (Islamic Economic Expert Association), from the Fadjar Feb Unair Hall at 13.00-17.00 WIB.
Fortunately Basuki, in his material explains the challenges of MSMEs in the time of uncertainty. Some of them are difficulties in climbing class, minimal digitalization access, difficulty penetrating the global market, not yet productive or which means that MSMEs have not been involved in the production chain of medium/basic business sectors, and lack of financial services to help business development. Therefore, collaboration is needed for empowerment and expanding the Local Product Market (MSME) through exports.
The Export Clinic is one of the programs with empowerment of Indonesian Attache abroad and the cooperation of foreign governments in the regions as collaboration and orchestration of the MSME development program by national BUMN and private sector. The program can help empower MSMEs to facilitate exports. As in the export clinical orchestration, education will be given about export customs procedures, literacy understanding of export-related regulations and regulations, assistance as an effort to provide solutions to the constraints experienced, the socialization of customs facilities and its procedures, as well as coordination with K/L and related regional agencies. The results of the fostered program, namely in 2022 as many as 12 MSMEs in the Regional Office of the East Java DJBC I Regional Office who succeeded in exporting independently with a total export value of Rp12 billion.
In addition to the material about the empowerment program, the resource person also delivered an easy step for exports and the provisions of the Export Lartas in detail. It is hoped that many MSMEs are developing with independent exports so as to improve the Indonesian economy as well, especially for the East Java region. This workshop is related and supports SDGs number 8, namely decent jobs and economic growth.
