The team from Disdukcapil of Surabaya City, led by: Head of Population and Civil Registration Service of Surabaya City – Agus Imam Sonhaji ST, MMT (center).

The signing of the Implementation Arrangement covers the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka collaboration program, particularly in the field of Population Administration. This is in line with the various innovative applications and services offered by the Surabaya City Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) to assist and facilitate the public through more practical online facilities.

Application and service innovations that have been presented include: KatePay, Duo Lontong, Paket Hemat, CEOX, Punta Dewa, Jempol Sakti, Takon Klampit, and Klampit. One of the innovations that has been launched and is being promoted is KatePay which was born from the collaboration between the Surabaya City Government and Bank Jatim. The innovation creates a Child Identity Card (KIA) so that it can be a non-cash payment tool for all elementary and junior high school students in Surabaya City as a payment method for purchasing food and drinks in the school canteen.

Through this innovation, it is hoped that the involvement of students in the Independent Learning Campus Independent Internship Program – Population Administration (MBKM-A) can help encourage/raise awareness among parents, that with KatePay, children do not need to bring cash to school or cashless, just bring KIA (Cashless and electronic know your customer (e-KYC) program). In addition, parents can monitor the spending of money for snacks from their children, and children do not buy snacks outside of school (where the quality of food and drinks is not guaranteed, both in terms of quality and hygiene).

The canteen is also provided by MSMEs in the area, and there is a literacy forum to encourage cashless transaction programs and e-KYC, where students of the Independent Learning Campus Independent Internship Program - Population Administration (MBKM-A), are also expected to be able to play an active role there, so that the economy in the area can be improved/reduced poverty levels through MSMEs.

Not only that, the Surabaya City Population and Civil Registration Office in collaboration with FEB UNAIR, also involved students in the Independent Learning Campus Independent Internship Program - Population Administration (MBKM-A) for 1 (one) semester, in assisting with the recording of population documents and civil registration in the City of Surabaya. In addition, the MBKM-A program is expected to be able to help the community to easily manage documents, public services, data input, and help introduce existing application and service innovations so that they are used well by the community, especially for people who are still unfamiliar with online data management. Students who participate in this program are also expected to be able to come up with innovations that may not yet exist in the area or analyze existing innovations/systems, which still need improvement, in addition to gaining new experience in socializing the importance of population administration to the community.

With this collaboration, it is hoped that FEB UNAIR can provide quality education to its graduates through valuable experience gained directly in the field, with inherent guidance from 2 (two) directions both from lecturers on campus and from mentors in the field where the students are doing internships, so that it can produce quality graduates, and SUPERIOR HR for Indonesia, and for the Surabaya City Government, it is also hoped that all Population Programs currently being carried out can be carried out with full trust.

Together we can, FEB UNAIR & DISDUKCAPIL CITY OF SURABAYA

Let's make the Independent Learning Campus Independent Internship Program – Population Administration (MBKM-A) a success.
