MM50B Students Donate 108 million
Indonesia is indeed a disaster-prone country.
Both tectonic earthquakes, volcanic earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, floods, landslides, etc. have rocked various cities in Indonesia several times with varying intensity. For this reason, several things that the Indonesian people must be aware of are the need for disaster risk mitigation in various forms.
The first form is the need for good disaster management, both preventive management and management during and after a disaster. Learning from various countries such as Japan, which studies how good building structures are earthquake resistant and flood free are basic things that architects and developers must understand. Second is the need to care for others. That the behavior of helping others, including in the form of donations, is one way of mitigating personal risk from disaster. Gancar C. Premananti in the live talk show Gift of Love for Palu held by Master of Management students class 50B on Saturday 24 November 2018 at the ACC building, campus C Unair. Hosted by broadcasters from Suara Muslim, the talk show also featured victims of the Palu disaster and leaders of Friends of Palestine Calling. The event became even more lively with the presence of religious singer Opick, who apart from singing also led the donation auction.

And the donations obtained reached more than 108 million Rupiah, which was donated to help brothers and sisters in the Palu area.
What is even more interesting is that the activities held by Class 50B students are Experiential-based Learning from Business Ethics and CSR courses. This form of lecture is a learning innovation, which requires students to create University Social Responsibility activities that are innovative and have publication value. With this learning, it is hoped that MM FEB Unair graduates will become superior future leaders and have excellent social awareness. (gcp)
