The Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) Educator Accountants Compartment, has held a member meeting to update the management for the 2018-2020 period, on Thursday (06/09/2018), at the 21st National Accounting Symposium (SNA) at Mulawarman University, Samarinda. Also present was the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak., CA and Secretary General of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Ainun Na'im, Ph.D, MBA, Ak., CA. IAI KAPd is one of the compartments of the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI), with the Chair of the IAI National Management Board (DPN) being Prof. Dr. Mardiasmo, MBA., Akt., CA, who is currently Deputy Minister of Finance.

Chairman of the IAI KAPd East Java Region, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , Prof. Dr Dian Agustia, SE, M.Sc., Ak., CA., CMA was elected as Chair of IAI KAPd replacing Prof. Dr. Nunuy Nur Afiah, SE, M. Si., Ak., CA from Padjadjaran University. He was elected through a voting system.

In his presentation after being elected, Prof. Dian will make a fundamental breakthrough. The way to do this is to build IAI KAPd by empowering all Accounting Lecturers to work together to advance the teaching accounting profession.

"In the future, there will be many fundamental changes regarding lecturer development. Synergize by empowering all the strengths of Indonesian Accounting Lecturers to advance the world of accounting education in Indonesia. Efforts to bring equality in the quality of accounting education throughout Indonesia will be maximized by increasing international publications, international class education and quality accreditation," he said.

He explained the concrete changes through the presentation of the Vision, Mission and Strategic Program to all members of the IAI Accountant Educator

According to him, after being elected as chairman of IAI KAPd, the Vision and Mission and Strategic Programs can be carried out by elaborating on the ideas and synergy of all accounting lecturers and IAI KAPd stakeholders.

"Together with all elements of IAI KAPd's strength, we are obliged to provide and strengthen educational accountants throughout Indonesia, both in education, research and community service. So Accounting Lecturers in Indonesia always together with IAI KAPd administrators play an active role in advancing accountant education in Indonesia. "Through strengthening the research sector, lecturer competency, and strengthening institutions through quality accreditation," he said.

He added, at this IAI KAPd member meeting, Prof. Nunuy has made IAI KAPd inclusive, encouraging the progress of activities in the Forum and Regions and producing standard products for education.

"What Prof. Nunuy has done for the progress of educational accountants will continue to be done and developed," he said.
