The cement industry is a very attractive market, considering its potential continues to increase. With the increase in population, which of course requires a place to live; also with the increase in APBN allocation for investment. Not to mention that Indonesia is a country rich in cement raw materials. So, it is natural that Indonesia is being targeted by foreign cement producers.

KPS MM Unair, Dr.
Gancar C Premananto, together with the Deputy Governor of East Java, Gus Ipul, and the General Chair of the Indonesian BUMD Coordinating Board, Mr. Arif Affandi, sat together to discuss the problems of the cement industry. The discussion initiated by the 2017 Surabaya Journalist Discussion Forum also specifically discussed the case of Semen Gresik in Rembang which experienced problems in its establishment.

KPS MM FEB Unair, on this occasion conveyed the many lessons learned from the SG and NGO cases.
Learning about Business Processes, Marketing Communications, Ethics and even spiritual learning were discussed in this event. Meanwhile, Mr. Arif Afandi, said that managing BUMN and BUMD is more difficult than managing private companies.
This is because the regulations underlying management are more common in BUMN/BUMD than in the private sector. Gus Ipul, in delivering his material, closed by stating the need for a movement to be proud of domestic products again, to be able to withstand the invasion of foreign products.
The event was very exciting and was attended by dozens of economic journalists from various print and electronic media.
