Bachelor of Islamic Economics

The Islamic Economics Bachelor Study Program at Universitas Airlangga was established in 2007 with a vision of becoming a leading study program based on religious morals. The Islamic Economics Study Program has been accredited nationally and internationally. At the national level we have been accredited Predicate A and BAN - PT. In the international level we have accredited ABEST-21 and FIBAA Premium Seal
Islamic Economic Study Program also has several networks both with partners or universities in the form of cooperation of several programs such as MBKM, Teaching Campus, Exchange of Foreign Students, and Domestic Student Exchange. Partners who have worked with MBKM with our study programs such as Bank Jatim Syariah, Indonesian waqf movement, natural sharia. For the Teaching Campus Program, we are in collaboration with Thursina School. We have sent students for student exchange programs abroad with Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Germany. In the domestic student exchange program we have sent students to the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
With this, we continue to be committed to producing scholars who master the Islamic economy in the context of contemporary economy and business. Our lecturers continue to develop through training and adjustments to technology and labor markets. The aim is that our graduates are able to compete at the national and international levels, and contribute to the life of the nation through Tridharma.

  1. Producing Islamic economics graduates who have extensive knowledge and understanding of the concepts, principles and practices of Islamic economics in the contemporary economic and business environment
  2. Producing Islamic economics graduates who are able to analyze and study the implementation of knowledge in the field of Islamic economics to provide solutions and ideas to society
  3. Producing Islamic economics graduates who are able to apply the concepts, principles and practices of Islamic economics in contemporary sharia business
  4. Producing Islamic economics graduates who are professional, innovative and have good character and have the capacity to be leaders with strong integrity and quality

Masters in Islamic Economics

The very rapid development of Islamic economics over the last three decades has opened up opportunities for various parties to join together to develop an economy based on the Koran and hadith through their respective roles, both from government, practitioners and academics. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga as a pioneer of Islamic economics in Indonesia has also taken part in establishing the first Master of Science in Islamic Economics Program under Dikti which is accredited A with graduates who have worked in various fields both as regulators and practitioners in the industrial world. The Islamic Economics Masters Program was established in 2010 based on Chancellor's Decree No. 94/H3/KR/2010, the Master of Islamic Economics Study Program was established which complements the existence of the Bachelor and Doctoral Study Programs that had been established previously. The teaching staff for the MSEI program are domestic and foreign graduates who have experience in teaching and industry. Many graduates of the Islamic Economics Master's Program have taken part at the national and international level through various institutions including Bank Indonesia, Diponegoro University, ITS and many others. Doctoral Degree in Islamic Economics

Doctoral study programs that explore and develop economics based on sharia principles, with a focus on education in the field of Islamic economics, based on the Qur'an and hadith, as well as previous and contemporary scholars aimed at solving the latest problems in the community, especially in the field of Islamic Social Finance.

Vision

  • To become a doctoral study program in Islamic Economics based on coursework and research that is in line with the needs of future Islamic economic development, which is innovative, professional, independent and leading at national and international levels, as well as being a pioneer in solving economic and financial problems based on the morals of the Islamic religion, especially in Islamic social finance at local, regional, national and international levels.

Mission

  1. Carrying out education in the field of Islamic economics, based on the Koran and hadith, as well as previous and contemporary scholars aimed at solving current problems in society, especially in the field of Islamic social finance.
  2. Carrying out innovative basic, applied and policy research to support the development of science, education and community service at both national and international levels.

UNAIR Doctoral Program in Economics was founded in 1983 based on Study Program Establishment Decree No. 23497/C/1983 on March 10 1983. The UNAIR Postgraduate Program managed the Doctoral Program in Economics from 1983 to 2011. However, FEB UNAIR has taken over and managed it since 2012. The Doctoral Program in Economics has been recognized as having a national and international reputation excellent, as proven by "A" certification from the National Accreditation Body (BAN-PT) and ABEST21 Accreditation. We always consider all recommendations from these quality assurance institutions and implement them in all academic and non-academic activities. To improve student study performance, we provide a counseling program to facilitate students in publishing their articles in reputable international and national journals. We also provide students with international experience through global mobility programs, such as outbound and inbound programs.
