The very rapid development of Islamic economics over the last three decades has opened up opportunities for various parties to join together to develop an economy based on the Koran and hadith through their respective roles, both from government, practitioners and academics. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga as a pioneer of Islamic economics in Indonesia has also taken part in establishing the first Master of Science in Islamic Economics Program under Dikti which is accredited A with graduates who have worked in various fields both as regulators and practitioners in the industrial world. The Islamic Economics Masters Program was established in 2010 based on Chancellor's Decree No. 94/H3/KR/2010, the Master of Islamic Economics Study Program was established which complements the existence of the Bachelor and Doctoral Study Programs that had been established previously. The teaching staff for the MSEI program are domestic and foreign graduates who have experience in teaching and industry. Many graduates of the Islamic Economics Master's Program have taken part at the national and international level through various institutions including Bank Indonesia, Diponegoro University, ITS and many others. Mission

  1. Organizing comprehensive education in the fields of Islamic economics, finance and business by combining scientific developments and societal problems based on Islamic values.
  2. Carrying out research and development of knowledge in the fields of Islamic economics, finance and business that is recognized at national and international levels
  3. Carrying out community service that supports the implementation and development of Islamic economics, finance and business
  4. Realizing independence in implementing innovative competency-based teaching and learning processes in the fields of economics, finance and Islamic business.

Objective

  1. Fulfilling the market needs of the sharia economic and financial industry for both regulators, practitioners and academics.
  2. Producing qualified Master of Science in Islamic Economics graduates who are able to develop knowledge and can compete at national and international levels.

Academic provisions

1. The lecture period
each academic year consists of two regular semesters, namely the odd semester which takes place in August to December and even semester in February to June. For the level of Masters and Professional Education Accountant education, each semester consists of 14 face -to -face meetings, coupled with an evaluation in the form of a Midterm Examination (UTS) and Final Semester Examination (UAS).

2. Administrative registration
Before re -registration academically, each student is required to first complete a single tuition payment (UKT) for one semester, in accordance with applicable regulations.

3. Academic registration
Before lectures begin, students must determine the course to be taken in accordance with the curriculum regulations and include them in the Study Plan Card (KRS), with reference to the Study Results Card (KHS). Students can change or cancel the course through filling out the Study Plan Change Card (KPRS) on the schedule specified by the faculty. Delay in filling KRS without an acceptable reason will result in students not allowed to attend lectures in the current semester.

4. The Expense of
the Total Semester Credit Unit (SKS) Study that must be completed by the Masters of Islamic Economics Science Masters is 46 credits.
