(Inspirational Story) Rizky Ahmad Maulana Hamdany, this Feb Accounting Study Program student proves that big dreams can be achieved by hard work, persistence, and unyielding spirit. He stepped to Universitas Airlangga with one determination, which is a turning point for his family. Now, he was officially graduated as one of the achievements of outstanding at Airlangga University, (6/14/2025).

Coming from a family who was experiencing economic downturn, Rizky chose not to dissolve in limitations. "I want to be a game changer for my family," he said. Entering through the Golden Ticket route to his dream major, Accounting, Rizky immediately challenged him not to be an ordinary student.

Champion 1 P2MW Kemenristekdikti 2023 & Eco Chop Innovation 

Of the many Rizky's achievements during college, one of the most monumental is his success in winning the 1st place, the Ministry of Research and Technology Student Development Program (P2MW) of the 2023 Kemenristekdikti in the category of manufacturing and applied technology. In the prestigious event which was attended by more than 8,000 students from hundreds of state and private universities, Rizky presented an innovative work titled Eco Chop, food packaging based on rice straw waste that was biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and supported the economy of local communities.

He said how tight and competitive the event was. This victory is proof that profit -oriented works can also have a social and environmental impact. Eco Chop even walked back to the Top 10 Pertamuda Seed & Scale Pertamina 2024, emphasizing his reputation in the national entrepreneurial arena.

But P2MW and Pertamuda are not the only brilliant incision. During college, Rizky collected more than 30 awards from various campus to national competitions. However, the journey to achievement is not easy. He claimed to have failed up to 17 times with his chief colleague, Vany Erdiyanti Pratama, a defeat that drained his wallet, energy, and time, but instead became the biggest teacher in shaping his competitive mentality.

Student Achievement Accounting IAI 2023: Presentation on the Indonesian Stock Exchange 

Of all the achievements, Rizky was the most proud when he was chosen as a delegation of the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) 2023. In the event, he compiled a scientific work entitled "Artificial Intelligence in Accounting Transformation", and presented it directly on the Indonesian Stock Exchange floor, in front of the IAI National Board.

Rizky's journey as a delegation of students who excel in accounting IAI 2023 is also not something that happens just like that. There are strict conditions that must be met: Having Haki (Intellectual Property Rights) and at least one national/international achievement, the conditions that he had exceeded with more than 30 championships.

He then compiled a scientific paper that raised the theme: How Artificial Intelligence (AI) changed the way of accounting. Not only writing, Rizky also had to make videos of self -introduction and campus as part of the selection.

The climax was when he was invited to come to the Indonesia Stock Exchange in Jakarta. In that place, Rizky presented his ideas before the National Management Board (DPN) of the Indonesian Accountant Association, including national figures Ignasius Jonan, who was also an Unair accounting alumni.

"It feels very proud. Can stand on the Indonesian stock exchange floor, present their own work, and witnessed directly by the big figures of IAI. This is not just a competition experience, but an extraordinary intellectual honor," said Rizky.

Message for younger siblings and hope for FEB Airlangga University 

For UNAIR students who are still struggling, Rizky advised not to give up in the middle of the road.

"Urip Iku Urup, life must turn on and give light. Little by little, over time to be a hill. Don't underestimate your little steps. And remember, lectures are privilege do not be wasted."

He also encouraged his younger brother to dare to get out of his comfort zone, try new things, and not be afraid to fail. According to him, the campus is the best place to grow and develop itself.

In closing, Rizky expressed his hope for the Faculty of Economics and Business of Airlangga University:

"Hopefully FEB will continue to be home to innovation and real contribution. Let's build an academic environment that not only produces smart graduates, but also efficient for the community and the environment."
