(Inspirational Story) For Rafli Aliefdiputra (Graduation, June 14, 2025), choosing accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) is not an instant decision. Born and raised in Bondowoso, Rafli has a habit of listening to podcasts and follows global developments through media such as Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, and Tempo to foster interest as someone who likes news and analysis.
Rafli realizes that accounting is not just a matter of numbers. "Accounting is about trust, business direction, and responsibility," he said. When looking for a place to study, the name Feb Unair many times appeared in his search. He fell in love, not only in prestige or accreditation, but in the dynamics of supportive learning environment.
"FEB Unair teaches me not only about journals and audits, but the matter of life values of integrity, professionalism, and social responsibility," he said. For him, FEB UNAIR is a place of transformation: from students to a visionary person and ready to make a real contribution to the community.
Journey to become chairman of e-Radio
Being chairman of e-Radio is not Rafli's initial plan. But since childhood, Radio has become a loyal friend, from Prambors to Gen FM. While studying in accounting majors full of numbers and pressure, Rafli felt the need for "healthy escape". This is where e-Radio comes as a space for expression as well as a soul refresher.
Starting as HRD staff, Rafli learned about building a team and healthy communication. With a strong determination, in the next period he advanced to become the chairman and carry a simple but challenging mission: making e-radio known and valued in the FEB Airlangga environment. " ' Is there a radio at FEB?' '
Through a creative work program, social media activation (especially Tiktok), to the success of having a secretariat space in GKM, Rafli and his team made the management period as a revival. "E-Radio is not just a broadcast place. He is a house, he is a stage, and he is growing space for all of us," he said proudly.
From the rejection of the internship to the PWC transparent
Not everything that Rafli passed was running smoothly. The internship starts from various rejections, from multinational companies, startups, to BUMN. But precisely from there he learned the meaning of perseverance. The turning point occurred when he was successfully accepted by an internship at Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC) Indonesia, one of the big four world accounting firms.
Joining the Audit Division, Rafli was directly involved in work such as collecting client documents, working papers, to professional discussions with the senior team. "Internships at PWC made me feel level, from students to be young professionals," he said.
Not stopping there, he also internship at the Tax Office (KPP) Pratama Gubeng (Kemenkeu) and became a Jobstreet Indonesia Campus Ambassador. From the corporate environment to the government, Rafli expanded perspective and honed the adaptive ability across the field.
Message for younger siblings & hope for FEB Airlangga University
For Rafli, every student has a unique way. He reminded that younger siblings are not trapped in comparison. "Insecure is natural. But don't make us stop," he said.
He encouraged students to be active according to interest, without feeling they had to follow all trends. "If you don't like competitions or organizations, it's okay. Find your way. The best version of you doesn't have to be the same as other people."
Rafli also reminded the importance of maintaining a balance between studies and mental health. "Lecture is important, but happy is also part of success."
For FEB Unair, Rafli hopes that this faculty will continue to transform into a learning space that is relevant to the times, inclusive, and still upholds noble values. "Hopefully FEB Unair continues to print people who are not only smart, but also with integrity and have a heart."
