Firnanda Hady Wardhana, grows through academics, organizations, and global experience

(Inspirational Story) Firnanda Hady Wardhana, graduate of the Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) graduated on June 14, 2025, is one of the young figures who closed his study period with a wealth of valuable experience, both academically, organizational, and cross -country self -development. Born in Mojokerto on August 1, 2002 and has a hobby of playing basketball.

During his education at FEB Airlangga University, Firnanda considered that the campus was not only a place to learn theory in the classroom, but also a large space to grow personally and professionally.

Hone Leadership and Collaboration through Organizations, Committees, and Student Exchange

Firnanda is active in the Student Executive Board (BEM) FEB UNAIR and various committees under the Accounting Student Association (HMA). For him, these two containers are not just complementary lecture activities, but are the main means in shaping character and soft skills.

Through BEM FEB, he learned to compile work programs, work across divisions, and establish communication with various campus elements. Meanwhile, in HMA, he was involved in academic activities such as seminars and training, which increasingly honed his sensitivity to the needs of accounting students.

"I began to understand the importance of collaboration, leadership, and responsibility, especially when working in a team with different backgrounds," he said.

"The organization formed me to become a person who was more confident, accustomed to thinking strategic, and had a mental ready to work," he said.

Not only active in the country, Firnanda was also involved in a number of international activities that brought him to Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand. These programs provide a broader understanding of global dynamics, including cultural differences, education systems, and how cross-country work.

Internship experience during lectures

During college, Firnanda also had the opportunity to take part in two internship programs in different sectors: BUMN and private sector. He passed the Magenta BUMN program and was placed at PT Hutama Karya (Persero), as well as undergoing an internship at PT Serasi Auto Raya (SERA), part of Astra Group.

At PT Hutama Karya, Firnanda served in the OPT Division (Toll Road Maintenance Operation), the Accounting Section. He operates the SAP system, records financial transactions, account reconciliation, to help the preparation of financial statements.

Meanwhile, in Sera, he felt a faster and more competitive work atmosphere.

"Work culture in the private sector requires me to be more critical, quickly act, and always proactive," he said.

Message for younger siblings and hope for FEB Airlangga University

Closing his study period, Firnanda conveyed an inspirational message to other FEB Airlangga students, especially younger siblings.

"Lecture is not just a matter of GPA. Try a lot of things - joining the organization, internships, looking for relationships, and don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Every challenge is learning," he said.

He also hopes that FEB UNAIR will continue to be a home that supports students to develop in full, not only academically smart, but also excel in character and skills.

"Hopefully in the future Feb Unair will further expand cooperation with the industrial world, present more relevant internships, and become an open and inclusive learning space," he said.
