Fighting from limitations, becoming active and inspiring students of FEB Airlangga University

(Inspirational Story) Economic limitations are not a barrier to Qori 'Rahma Agustina to reach big dreams. The Study Program of Economics Study Program FEB UNAIR who was graduated on Saturday, June 14, 2025 grew up in a simple family, which made him accustomed to living independently since childhood. From transportation matters to personal desires, all he must try to himself. His parents continue to support as much as they can, but Qori 'learned early on that hard work was the main key, especially in terms of education.

"The struggle of my two unforgettable parents is to hit heavy rain to keep selling and sleeping late at night to prepare sales materials," said Qori '. Although the economy is limited, Qori's parents are always open. They listen to their complaints without pressing. This is strongly attached to the motivation of Qori 'to continue to fight for the future.

He feels luck not to come just like that, but the results of perseverance and prayer that continue to be accompanied by business. "I entered FEB Airlangga from the SNMPTN path with KIP lecture. The existence of this program is very helpful for me who is the limitations of paying UKT, as well as pocket money that I can use to pay for boarding houses, living expenses, and various lecture needs," he added.

Since sitting in elementary school, Qori 'has been directed to continue to excel in order to win scholarships. "I want to study at a large university, so from childhood I was used to being accustomed to studying hard. If you want to buy something, I have to save from my own allowance," he recalled.

In the campus environment, Qori 'found many diverse characters and brought valuable lessons. "At Feb I met many people with various characters that I can take the positive side. It helps me to grow into a better person," he said.

During college, Qori 'was active in various activities. Since the first year, he has been incorporated in the Football Student Activity Unit (UKM) as Treasurer 2 and women's futsal players. In the following year, he became the chairman of the same SME Creative Economy Division. He also participated in East Java Porprov in the futsal branch. Not only that, Qori 'is active in religious arts UKM as a member of the PSDM division, as well as the Amasaki region in the field of entrepreneurship. He is often involved in various committees such as gathering, ECL, LPH, to religious gebyar.

Not only active organization, Qori 'also records an internship experience through an internship program and certified independent study (MSIB). In semester 5, he was an internship at the Surabaya City Population and Civil Registry Office, then in semester 6, continued the internship at the BTPN Syariah Bojonegoro Bank.

The KIP-K program is a turning point for Qori '. In addition to reducing the burden of UKT, this scholarship helps him fully focus on academics and campus activities without having to worry about living expenses. "KIP-K is very helpful for me, from the release of UKT to an allowance that I can use for boarding houses and living expenses. I can focus on learning and organizing without burdening parents," he explained.

For Qori ', the most memorable experience during college is to find sincere and supportive friends. He also expressed his views on the academic environment at Feb Unair. "The lecturers, especially in the development economy (now S1 Economics), do look firm, but it is educational. Tendik and other community are also responsive and friendly, although sometimes the information is sudden," he said while smiling.

As a message for younger siblings, Qori 'stressed the importance of utilizing college time. "Join training, internships, and find as many certifications as possible. But don't forget that academics remain number one. Graduating is easy as long as there is a will. Build your CV as best you can," he ordered.

He also expressed his hope for FEB Airlangga in the future. "Hopefully FEB Unair continues to be a favorite faculty and can print graduates who are increasingly competent every year."
