NARRARY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF KBMI 2020

The wheels of the Indonesian economy require many entrepreneurial professions to run well. In developing the entrepreneurial spirit and abilities of Indonesian students, the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), the Directorate General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia organizes various Merdeka Campus Programs. Through the spirit of Merdeka Learning at the Merdeka Campus, the Entrepreneurship Program consists of Entrepreneurship Workshops, Indonesian Student Management Business Activities (KBMI), Indonesian Student Startup Acceleration (ASMI), and Inherent Assistance by Practitioners/Entrepreneurs and Lecturers through Indonesian Student Entrepreneurial Assistance (PWMI).

Students in implementing the KBMI and ASMI in 2020 continue to be accompanied by practitioners and lecturers in the hope of having a stronger and growing business which is then continued to take part in the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Expo as the culmination. KMI Expo is a meeting place for Indonesian students who have been equipped with knowledge to display student creativity and build business networks.

The KBMI 2020 activity took place from June starting with the proposal proposal and closed with the KMI Expo XI 2020 on December 5. During the proposal collection period we also received guidance from a supervisor, namely Mrs. Tri Siwi and also 1 mentor so that we could complete the proposal well. After the selection process, on July 29, 2020 it was announced the teams that passed the 2020 KBMI funding and we became one of the teams that passed the funding by getting a fund of Rp. 16.000.000 (sixteen million rupiah).

The business that we use in KBMI 2020 is Choipan Surabaya. Choipan Surabaya is a culinary business that has been maintained by Airlangga University students since 2017. Choipan Surabaya was born from the scarcity of choipan as Indonesian cultural heritage and the lack of public knowledge about choipan. Choipan Surabaya aims to

introduces choipan as a typical food from West Kalimantan as a food product that has an authentic taste and is highly competitive in Surabaya.

This 2020 KBMI activity also provides assistance and monitoring for teams that pass the funding which will be carried out on 29 July 2020 - 23 October 2020 via online. On October 22, 2020 our Choipan team conducted an KBMI assessment which was carried out via Zoom Meeting at 09.00. Then for the second stage of the assessment, on November 2, 24. Before making a presentation in front of the judges, our Choipan Team also made various preparations such as compiling Power Points, making business progress reports, and also continuing to provide guidance with supervisors.

The culmination of the 2020 KBMI activities is KMI Expo XI 2020 which contains public lectures and entrepreneurship talk shows, Entrepreneurship Workshop Competitions, StartUp Summits, and various other activities. Before participating in this activity, the Choipan Surabaya Team had to attend a Technical meeting which was held twice, namely on November 2, 26 and December 2020, 3. At the peak of the event, our team will hold an online exhibition of choipan products through the Hopin application and will also take part in a workshop competition. .

There are many preparations that our team has to do before the KBMI peak event. To prepare for the online exhibition, our team tested the Hopin application on the H-1 event, we also prepared what products we would display at the exhibition and ensured that the products were in good condition. For the workshop competition we have to make a short 45 second video about what topics we will bring in the workshop. We also had to go through a selection until 20 teams were filtered and we became one of the teams that qualified. After our team qualified into the top 20, our team began to prepare the material in detail and package it attractively in a Power Point. Before conducting the workshop in front of the judges, we did the exercises first with the supervisors and other teams from Universitas Airlangga who passed to get criticism and input.

KMI Expo XI 2020 starts on December 4, 2020 at 08.00 which starts with the opening and inauguration of KMI Expo XI 2020. And continues with judging

from various competitions. The judging of the workshop competition itself is held from 15.30 to 17.00 and we are required to bring the audience who will be one of the points for the assessment. The online exhibition will be held on December 4, 2020 and December 5, 2020, where our team takes turns maintaining the online exhibition booth.
