(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) for the Professional, Masters, and Doctoral Programs for the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, FEB UNAIR. This activity was carried out by FEB UNAIR and attended by 158 new students from various study programs, educational levels, and regional backgrounds, including students from outside Java and international students.
New students at the professional, master's, and doctoral levels face the challenge of adapting to the complex academic system, course management, student services, and research and scientific publication ecosystem. Differences in educational background, academic experience, and region of origin can potentially create gaps in understanding information if not facilitated through a comprehensive and structured campus introduction from the beginning of their studies.
As a solution to these needs, FEB UNAIR held PKKMB 100% offline with a series of integrated activities that included introduction to academics, student affairs, facilities and infrastructure, research, scientific publications, and digital learning systems. In her remarks, Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE., M.Si., welcomed all new students and emphasized FEB UNAIR's commitment to providing quality, inclusive, and timely graduation-oriented higher education through a transparent academic system and comprehensive learning support.
The next material was delivered by the Vice Dean II, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Setiawan, SE., MM., regarding campus facilities and infrastructure and access to scientific sources, followed by a presentation of scientific publications by the Head of the Research, Publication, and Community Service Unit of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Ririn Tri Ratnasari, SE., M.Si., and an introduction to Cybercampus and E-Learning HEBAT by the Captain of E-Learning, Noven Suprayogi, M.Si., Ak. The activity then continued with a meeting with each Study Program Coordinator (KPS) to strengthen academic understanding at the study program level.
The implementation of PKKMB has a real, qualitative impact on new students, particularly in improving their understanding of the academic system, providing more focused study planning, and preparing them for lectures and matriculation. Students gain equal access to information related to academic services, research, and publications, thus supporting the achievement of lifelong learning and quality higher education. This program directly contributes to strengthening the quality of the learning process and academic governance within FEB UNAIR.
The PKKMB (Entrepreneurship Program) is a routine and ongoing program held at the beginning of each new student admission semester. Going forward, FEB UNAIR is committed to continuously developing the format and substance of the PKKMB to be more adaptive to student needs, the development of digital learning systems, and strengthening the culture of research and publication. This commitment is part of FEB UNAIR's ongoing efforts to create a superior, inclusive, and globally competitive higher education ecosystem.
