(FEB NEWS) Jimbaran, Bali – The Kandangan Gelora PPK Ormawa Team from Universitas Airlangga was honored to participate in the prestigious Abdidaya PPK Ormawa 2024 event at Udayana University, Bali. Abdidaya itself is a prestigious annual event that brings together student teams from various universities in Indonesia, where they compete to showcase the community service activities they have carried out in the past few months. This event is a forum for PPK Ormawa teams to demonstrate their real contributions in supporting sustainable development and community empowerment in various regions in Indonesia. The event will take place from November 7 to 9, 2024, at the Udayana University campus, Jimbaran, Bali, with various interesting activities to participate in.

The event opened on November 7 with a technical meeting, exhibition booth preparation, and an opening ceremony. On November 8, the 2024 Ormawa Abdidaya Expo was held on the west side of the Widya Sabha building. There, ORMAWA PPK teams from various universities displayed posters, videos, and innovative products as part of the judging panel. The expo ran from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM WITA (Central Indonesian Time). On the same day, the atmosphere was further enlivened by the presence of an entertainment and artistic creativity stage, which provided an opportunity for participants to showcase their artistic talents. The Kandangan Gelora team from Universitas Airlangga also performed on this stage, delivering a captivating performance that successfully entertained the other participants, creating a moment of togetherness and a spirit of solidarity.
On the final night, Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Widya Sabha Auditorium witnessed an award ceremony filled with emotion and joy. The Kandangan Gelora team, representing Universitas Airlangga , won two prestigious awards: second place in the category of “Student Organization with the Strongest Sustainability Strategy” and first place in the category of “Most Unique Video.” This achievement affirms their commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically in points number 4, “Quality Education,” and number 17, “Partnerships to Achieve the Goals.”
With this achievement, Universitas Airlangga through the Kandangan Gelora team proves their commitment to creating a positive and sustainable impact on society and strengthening the spirit of collaboration on a national scale.
